Hoylake, West Kirby & District U3A

The U3A is a self-help organisation and is open to all those who are no longer in full time employment.
Membership of Hoylake, West Kirby & District U3A gives an opportunity to enjoy educational, creative, and leisure activities in a friendly environment.
We are all volunteers and we draw upon the skills, knowledge and experience of each other to learn for pleasure in our Interest groups.
We also hold a monthly Speaker meeting at the Parade on the first Thursday of every month, except August.
Our membership is approximately 300 and there are about 35 Interest groups covering Antiques, History, Reading, Gardening, Tap dancing, Boules, Bird-watching and many, many more.
We have varied and interesting Social and Theatre events available every month. In 2017 we have visited the Athenaum Club, Concorde, Durham and Beamish as well as going on numerous Theatre and Garden trips.
You may attend a monthly speaker meeting as a Visitor or a new member, and will be warmly welcomed. We request that you arrive after 2pm, as our speakers give their talks at both 2pm and 3pm and the first talk is restricted to current members. Before you hear the 2nd talk you can offer have tea / coffee and biscuits, browse our books table and find out what Interest groups and social events will be of interest.
Our membership fee is £20 per annum, which covers your entry into all monthly speaker meetings.
Interest groups usually cost as little as 50p per session.
Come along .. you have nothing to lose, and many friendships to gain.
