The sessions are for anyone interested in practising yoga,a system including exercises which originated in India.The postures can be adapted to suit the needs of the individual
students depending on their levels of ability and are suitable for all ages, beginners and experienced students.
The classes gradually improve and maintain mobility suppleness, strength, stamina, coordination and balance leading to general well being.
Each 2 hour session is paced and includes stretching and warming up ,a wide range of postures some of which are done standing,some sitting and some on a mat on the floor.
There is also a relaxation and a short meditation.
The aims of the sessions are to enable students to learn to release tension ,to be enjoyable and to have a calming and balancing effect.
At the class
Please wear loose comfortable clothing with a layer or blanket for the relaxation
Bring an exercise mat if you have one
Do not eat anything substantial for 2 hours before the start of the class.
